Over the last few weeks we have been planning an epic Hunting Party for our hunting mad Uncle Keith (aka Keithy).
Like any party its good to start with a
focal piece, we were lucky enough to borrow a gigantic stag head from a
relative. This is what we based the entire event around. We hung it on a
pair of old vintage doors to give a rustic look. Might I say the spread
on the head table was amazing. We ordered sandwiches, savouries,
seafood, slices and asparagus rolls from New World which took the hassle
out of organising food. We threw together a quick grazing platter and
Keith cooked up some venison sausages he made. I made a very impressive
(if I do say so myself) banana cake with cream cheese icing (Keith's
favourite) and we added some antlers and rosemary to fit the theme. We
scattered bullet shells and grasses with stag silhouettes around the
table and voilà.....a pretty amazing head table!
There
were an assortment of seated tables which we decorated with wood
rounds, enamel camping crockery and grasses. Tin buckets were filled
with chips, pretzels and nut mix. Signs and bunting were custom made by
Cathy to tie the whole space together.
Photobooths have become very popular over the last decade and every big party usually has one, so Cathy set to work sourcing camo nets, props and plants. The end result was a pretty spectacular photobooth, that all the guests had a great time taking pictures with.

We had so much fun creating this custom party and cant wait to tackle our next project. Happy 60th Uncle Keith... and happy hunting!
